Philippe Victor Diolé (1908-1977) was a French author and undersea explorer, best known for co-authoring seven of the 8-volume series The Undersea Discoveries of Jacques-Yves Cousteau .

Whether or not which side is correct, it is true that humans have depended on water to survive. We have built communities and cities near bodies of water, like rivers and lakes. Oceans and seas have served as the world’s platform for trade and commerce. Inasmuch as it has brought people together, the same waters have brought us apart as well.
Healing Powers of Water
There are specific names for therapy that involves water from the oceans. Thalassotherapy for example, is a kind of treatment that uses seawater and related products. Balneotherapy on the other hand, is the method of managing diseases by bathing in mineral springs, or mineral-rich water, like that found in oceans.
In fact, just being near the sea can calm our nerves and help ground us. This is why so many people come to the beach. Aside from admiring sunsets, having the ocean around us can be a soothing reminder to take things slow.
