- SA : Sail area in square feet, derived by adding the mainsail area to 100% of the foretriangle area (the lateral area above the deck between the mast and the forestay).
- D : Displacement in pounds.
Ballast / Displacement Ratio
A measure of the stability of a boat's hull that suggests how well a monohull will stand up to its sails. The ballast displacement ratio indicates how much of the weight of a boat is placed for maximum stability against capsizing and is an indicator of stiffness and resistance to capsize.

Displacement / Length Ratio
A measure of the weight of the boat relative to it's length at the waterline. The higher a boat’s D/L ratio, the more easily it will carry a load and the more comfortable its motion will be. The lower a boat's ratio is, the less power it takes to drive the boat to its nominal hull speed or beyond. Read more.

Comfort Ratio
This ratio assess how quickly and abruptly a boat’s hull reacts to waves in a significant seaway, these being the elements of a boat’s motion most likely to cause seasickness. Read more.

The Friendship 26 is a moderate weight sailboat which is a reasonably good performer. It is very stable / stiff and has a low righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a day-boat. The fuel capacity is originally very small. There is a very short water supply range.

Basic specs..
The hull is made of hand laid fibreglass. Generally, a hull made of hand laid fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season. And outside the sailing season, just bottom cleaning and perhaps anti-fouling painting once a year - a few hours of work, that's all.
The boat is equipped with 5 berths. Note: the boat has also been sold to be self-made/-interiored, which means that the quality of each boat may vary.

A very nice Friendship 26 with dark blue hull (professionally painted in 2024 for Euro 4,800,-). Popular and fast design by Jack de Ridder. This Friendship 26 is one of best sailing Friendship's! This sailing yacht is equipped with younger diesel engine, grease lubricated propeller shaft, neat sails with a.o. a beautiful and large laminate genoa, compass, log, autopilot, pump toilet, 4 berths, specially built kitchen with good cool box and 2 burner stove (gas inspection July 2024),stereo system, teak on cockpit benches and cockpit floor, 2x selftailing winches, 2x halyard winches, 3x custom-made shelves with cushions to make the cockpit a large sun bed, sprayhood with zippered cockpit tent, winter cover over entire boat.To be viewed at Wehmeyer in Naarden.

Engine service has been performed every year (invoices are present). Last engine service is from June 2024. Throttle lever replaced in 2020. Starter motor and V-belt replaced in September 2024.
Verstages (standing rigging) and halyards were replaced in 2000.
Hull was sanded spring 2024 and painted five coats of epoxy. 3x (custom) shelves for cockpit so you have 2 more berths.

Der Motor wurde jedes Jahr gewartet (Rechnungen sind vorhanden). Die letzte Motorwartung ist vom Juni 2024. Drosselklappe im Jahr 2020 ersetzt. Anlasser und Keilriemen wurden im September 2024 ersetzt.
Die Rungen (stehendes Gut) und Fallen wurden im Jahr 2000 ersetzt.
Der Rumpf wurde im Frühjahr 2024 geschliffen und fünfmal mit Epoxy gestrichen. 3x (maßgefertigte) Regale für das Cockpit, so dass Sie 2 weitere Schlafplätze haben.

Les chandeliers (gréement dormant) et les drisses ont été remplacés en 2000.
La coque a été poncée au printemps 2024 et peinte de cinq couches d'époxy. 3x étagères (sur mesure) pour le cockpit afin d'avoir 2 couchettes supplémentaires.

Ieder jaar is motorservice uitgevoerd (facturen zijn aanwezig). Laatste motorservice is van juni 2024. Gashendel vervangen in 2020. Startmotor en V-snaar vervangen in september 2024.
Romp is voorjaar 2024 geschuurd en vijf lagen epoxy geschilderd. 3x (op maat gemaakte) planken voor kuip zodat je nog 2 slaapplaatsen hebt.
